See what our Hidden Vacationers are saying...

Aug 26-31 2008
First, let me thank you again for accommodating our stay on short notice. The cabin was everything we hoped for and the view from the porch is so relaxing. Tropical storm Fay followed us from Florida, which made it rainy for a few days, but the weekend weather was perfect. Roger spent two days learning to kayak with the NOC and both of us enjoyed the hummingbirds, reading and just relaxing. Hope we can return again. Orlando, FL

Aug 21-24, 2008
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your cabin. It is just what we anticipated and more. Thanks for arranging the perfect weather and keeping “Fay” away so we didn’t have to cancel our plans! This area is so awesome – no wonder we met so many people from Florida. We caught ourselves looking at some realty magazines! Thank you again for everything. We will be back! Palm Coast FL

Aug 2-9, 2008
Thanks for letting us stay at your great cabin. We had a great time. The gravel on the corner was a challenge on the motorcycles. Hopefully, we’ll come back soon. Pt Charlotte, FL

July 30-Aug 2, 2008
Thank you so much for some much needed R&R. We enjoyed our stay. Hummingbirds were everywhere! Beautiful dark butterflies, the occasional turkeys, and even a few groundhogs! We loved the setup of the house! I hope that we can visit again next year. Panama City Beach, FL

July 12-19, 2008
We had a wonderful time and truly appreciate the use of your beautiful cabin. We saw a family of wild turkeys, a deer, bats, fireflies, and the hummingbirds here at Hidden Acres. Every day was an adventure exploring the region and finding great places to visit and sights to see. Went rafting on the Ocoee – out 64 back on 19-28. Took a ride out Wahay Road-SR1310 to the Appalachian Trail. 2 Visits to Asheville with the kids – The kids (19 &21) loved our time here. Thanks Chris & Theresa Winter Park, FL

July 6-11, 2008
Thank you so much for letting us use your cabin. It was a very relaxing week. Our 7 year old loved everything from gem mining, canoeing down the Little Tenn. We were visiting friends who live in Franklin and they were in awe of the view. Thanks again. Cleveland, OH

June 28- July 4,2008
Thank you for the use of your cabin. The scenery from the back porch was beautiful. We had a great time whitewater rafting (52 degree water!), gem mining, Dollywood, jet boat trip on Lake Fontana, traveling down many windy roads, singin in the Smokies with the Inspirations (great gospel music!), seeing the wild turkeys on our walks here (it is a lot easier going down than coming back up!!) It was a great time to relax!! The kids loved Fat Buddies – they have great ribs! Thanks again, Bradenton, FL

June 22-27, 2008
We had a very pleasant week at the cabin! We spent our days sightseeing and mining for gems. We went to Rose Creek mines and found quite a lot in the emerald, sapphire, & ruby buckets along with one mega bucket. We did quite a bit of asking about Mason & Sheffield mines only to discover Rose Creek really was the best. Very friendly! We even went back a second time! We went to Gem Factory to have our choice stones cut and mailed to us. We recommend both Willy’s BBQ & Fat Buddies BBQ. (Fat Buddies was hard to find behind Lowe’s in Franklin.) We also liked Sprinkles for their ice cream and super friendly service. The owner recommended taking the road towards Highlands to see the waterfalls. Very scenic! We shopped in Highlands at their quaint downtown. Our kids, ages 11 and almost 9 enjoyed the Fun Factory very much! The pizza bar and a steak restaurant are located inside. They also had bumper cars, bowling, arcade games and an outdoor race track, merry go round, and putt putt golf. The kids enjoyed earning tickets to cash in for prizes at the end. The only complaint we would have is that the hot tub didn’t work while we were here – waah. The house was beautiful and secluded. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again in the future! Blessings from Virginia Beach, VA PLEASE – let us know if there are ever any problems during your stay! The hot tub has been repaired!!

May 24-30, 2008
Owners – Hello! We came up to spend a wonderful week at the cabin to check on things as vacation. As usual, the week flew by! Lots of fishing at our pond at Sequoyah – Sterling caught 5 trout in an hour! And fishing & canoeing the river from Jerry’s Fish Camp. DO NOT MISS JW Mitchell’s farm right up the road off 28- we had so much fun picking strawberries and eating right off the plant – yum! All organic produce, farm fresh eggs, etc. We got new carpet and new chairs for the living room. Did a thorough housecleaning- the carpenter bees were very bad so we will be staining & painting the entire cabin mid-June. We did not get a chance to pick up a new picnic table but know it needs to be replaced. We love it up here and hope you will enjoy your stay here as much as we always do- PS don’t miss Pickin in the Square on Saturday nights in downtown Franklin –eat at the Frog & Owl Chris & Theresa

May 17-23, 2008
We came to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The cabin was the best part of our whole vacation. After a rough day of treasure hunting it was great to come back & get in the hot tub. We lost power from Tues-Wed but that was okay. Stay away from Mason Mine on Airport Road- very expensive and we didn’t find anything. All in all we had a great time! Thanks for everything!

May 1-7, 2008
We didn’t want to go home! It is so relaxing and beautiful here. I’m usually a beach person but this cabin and experience has turned me into a mountain girl. We had a lot of fun gem hunting and ended up with some pretty good finds. We very much enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub. We hope to return soon!! This was such a wonderful experience!! Thank you for sharing your dreamy cabin! Ivanhoe, IL

Nov 9-12, 2006
Great trip to this beautiful cabin!! Amazing views- we chose to stay in the loft bedroom b/c it had such great views! It made for a perfect 8th anniversary! Thank you for your hospitality! Missy & Mark Beaufort, SC

Oct 11-17, 2006
Our 1st trip to this cabin, a wonderful spot to renew and reconnect with our family. We just hated to leave. It was a sad day! Thanks so much, the cabin was perfect, location ideal and the views were breathtaking. We hope to be back this way soon –

August 26 – 30, 2006
What a great way to spend our 25th anniversary!! This was so nice to come here, relax, have cooler weather, watch beautiful sunsets & sleep so soundly! We went rafting with Rolling Thunder, not too far from here & had a blast!! The first few days were warm and sunny & then came the rain!! And we went to Chimney Rock the long, scenic route & by the time we got there, we couldn’t’ go up because the elevator was closed. We drove to Smoky Mtn Ntl Park and spent the day going to Cade’s Cove. It was beautiful!! We had a wonderful time! Thanks – we will be back. Pat & Rachal Austin, TX

July 22- 29, 2006
This was the best vacation ever! The cabin was all we hoped it would be plus more! The hot tub was a great place to unwind after visiting Biltmore Estate, whitewater rafting, shopping, sightseeing on Route 129, etc. This is a wonderful location with so much to see and do nearby – or nothing to do but relax, if that is what you’re looking for. We loved all the hummingbird action on the deck – very entertaining! The two hawks gave us a daily morning show that was beyond words! Thank you again for opening your home to us – it is a time we will never forget! Jack, Nancy, Ashley

July 21, 2006

April 6-17, 2006
Dear Chris & Theresa,
Thank you so much for your kindness and your wonderful home. We received the final inspection on our cabin yesterday!! This has been our favorite “home away from home.” Can’t wait to meet you both someday soon. Mike & Judy Davie, FL

10/30/05
Thank you C&T Southerland! Your home is outstanding! We had a great time. We found 3 ruby’s (26 + 27+ 33+ ct) at Sheffield mine just down the road. Then had them cut and set at Franklin Gem & Jewelry out on Georgia Hwy Franklin. Very nice stuff but affordable!) Rafting on the Nantahala was great. The weather was great and the laves changing is beautiful. You two are a pleasure to deal with. We will be back next year. But we will stay longer. A week is just not enough time in this heavenly place! Best wishes.

10/8/05
Outstanding!!
Indiana

9/16-9/24/05
Probably our sixth visit here! All is still wonderful. Fabulous weather for 8 days & nights. PERFECT! Several friends from Fla came to visit. Coctails on the Deck – A-OK!! Best Dinner at the Freymont Inn (Bryson City). Rafting on the Nantahala was tons of fun! Hummingbird action on the deck was fierce. (PS fireplace not working??) Chris & Theresa – thanks again-
Davie FL

(We took out the gas logs after replacing them twice- it is now a wonderful wood burning fireplace!)

8/20-9/3/05
Another wonderful 2 weeks at this beautiful cabin! This is our third vacation here – hope to continue coming here year, after year, after year after year……..
Thanks again so much!
Cape Coral, FL

7/27-7/30/05
Chris & Theresa – Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin. The boys enjoyed the return. Julia and now know why they wanted to come back! It rained for most of our stay …. But, that allowed us more time in the hot tub. (I think we logged 12 hrs). We enjoyed our drive to the Highlands and it cleared off long enough to hike to the fire tower. It was beautiful! Thanks again!
Marietta, GA

7/23-7/28/05
Our time here has bone by too quickly! We were truly able to just relax. No phones ringing. No email to return. Only concerns were how hot to set the hot tub and which rocking chair to use We spent time in Cherokee. “The Village” was really neat. Hwy 64 to Highlands is breathtaking! Visited Dry Falls which is not to be missed. Our daughter loved it! Great fishing even in the heat. Seemed to bite after 4-5p. Thanks Chris & Theresa! We hope to return!
Jacksonville, FL

7/16-7/23/05
What a beautiful place! This is exactly what we needed. Really enjoyed seeing some of the waterfalls. Rented a pontoon boat on Fontana Lake for a day, definitely our best time! Feel like there’s so much more that we didn’t get to do. Will be back, Hopefully next year! (Some day we would love to own property like this ourselves.) Thanks!

7/7-715/05
What a wonderful cabin and setting. The beauty and quiet here were unbelievable and just what we needed. We had many adventures, but the trip to Wesson’s Bald was probably the most unique. The central location makes it easy to see many of the local sights. We shared our honeymoon here and we will never forget it. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Champaign, IL

6/17-6/24/05
Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven with us! We loved the view, the hot tub, the charm & coziness. We had daily visits from the hummingbird, and we think we were visited by a bear one night! We did a lot of motorcycling through these amazing mountains – our favorite spot was “Cades Cove” – a must to see! Our request would be a picnic table on the deck! Thanks again for sharing your home!
Pembroke Pines, FL

6/16/05
As everyone, we have enjoyed our week in your lovely home. With a gorgeous view in God’s wonderful land. And one of God’s lovely views. We hope to come again!
Aiken, SC

6/10/05
We were happy to be in the mountains with a great view. The wildflowers along the Rufus Morgan trail and the Franklin City Greenway was a favorite of ours. The ride to the Dillard House in Georgia was an easy one. What a meal! It brought back memories of our first visit there 30 years ago. Good luck with your further development of this area.
Tullahoma, TN

6/05/05
What a lovely cabin & what a spectacular view! We sat on the deck in the afternoon & watched the “scattered storms” move over the mountains & the valley. Saw the hummingbird daily until a squirrel knocked the feeder down and emptied it  We’ll refill and try again. Ate at “The Chef & His Wife” American grille in Franklin. Yum! Great food and reasonable prices. Hiked the Rufus Morgan Trail & saw an incredible waterfall – a series of falls, actually- and also saw the aftermath of Hurricane Frances still evident. The power of rushing water is scary. Chamber of Commerce visitor’s center was very helpful. We’ve left some updated brochures in the drawers where other tourist info is. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with total strangers. What a gift ot be here and have a week to recharge!
Elizabeth City, NC

3/17-3/20/05
Chris & Theresa, Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise. We had a great time exploring the local spots… but the best part was just relaxing on the deck and watch the days turn to night. As James Taylor said, “the secret to life is enjoying the passage of time.” We needed the re-charge and can’t wait to come back. Take care and always let yourselves be in awe!
Jacksonville, FL

2/28/05
My stay overnight as part of my daughter & husband’s weekend get-a-way was marvelous. Oh such comfort and beauty to experience. Must come back again and soak in the scenery! Thanks
Scottsdale, GA

2/13-2/20/05
Chris & Theresa,
The cabin was everything the website said it would be! This cabin is the style we hope to build one day. We came up to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary Feb 14th. We always have stayed in the Townsend, TN area because our favorite place to visit is “Cades Cove” in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We still took a day out of our week and drove over there. We enjoyed hiking the Nantahala, and seeing all the waterfalls in the area. This cabin is in a perfect, peaceful, and beautiful place! Thank you for sharing your beautiful mountain log cabin with us. We look forward to coming back!
Salisbury, NC

2/11-2/13/05
Chris & Theresa,
We really enjoyed our time in your cabin. Just wish we had more time. It was a great weekend get-away. Thanks.
Six Mile, SC

Chris & Theresa- Thanks for the wonderful cabin. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. While most mines were out of season, the folks at Macon Mountain were very friendly on the phone- we would go there in the summer. It was a crisp weekend with a few snow flurries. Beautiful country!

12/3-12/4/04
Thanks for the hospitality! We had a “boys” weekend (Patrick -7, Gaines-5, myself -40) Went to Dillsboro to ride the “Santa Express”, bought Bow & Arrows in Cherokee, hours of rough housing in the hot tub, gem mining, etc. Thought I would get to sleep in, but the boys put an end to that. We would love to come back and do the train/rafting trip out of Bryson City. Thanks again!
Marietta, GA

11/19-11/27/04
Dear Chris & Theresa, Thanks again for a very enjoyable and peaceful rest at your lovely cottage. We felt much at home in this mountain God’s country environment. We did lots of traveling, mostly antique shopping, short visits into the beautiful natural spots that NC, SC, & TN has to offer. “We will be back!”
Cape Coral, FL

11/11-11/14/04

9/04-9/10/04
After 24 hours fighting traffic (Hurricane Frances evacuation) we finally arrived! 3 great days then Frances dumped 2 days of rain! The Little TN River was overflowing in spots. Serious flooding in some areas. Sad to leave one day early to fight yet another hurricane (Ivan) at home. Gotta go! Can’t wait to build our own cabin here!!! Starting soon….
Davie, FL

8/15-8/20/04

Ft. Meyers, FL

September 21-23, 2003
What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. We arrived at sunset and took in the beautiful view from the deck. Although it rained the rest of our stay, we loved the pattering of raindrops on the roof and had a great time in the hot tub without worrying about the rain getting in! We spent a nice afternoon in Highlands- the drive was really breathtaking, even in bad weather- and had lunch and shopped in the short breaks from rain. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. There were a couple of visits by hummingbirds as well. All in all this was a great and relaxing time. Thanks for sharing your lovely place!
Chapel Hill, NC

September 19-21, 2003
What a beautiful place to come to for a few days of R&R! The river was great for fishing and kayaking. The evenings were enjoyable gazing at the stars from the hot tub. We will be back!
Charlotte, NC

August 16-30, 2003
Truly enjoyed the cabin! Beautiful, relaxing, “feel at home” place with a breathtaking view! Perfectly located to all the attractions. Don’t miss Dry Falls, the waterfall you can walk behind – magnificent! Great Smoky Mountain Railroad – fun! Cherokee Reservation – interesting & informative. In fact, we’re leaving 2 adult passes to the Cherokee Museum. For some reason no one took them when we entered after the Reservation Tour. We all loved our stay and can’t wait to return! Thanks so much!
Cape Coral, FL

August 9-16, 2003
Terrific weather! Our third stay in this wonderful, peaceful place. The week was not nearly long enough! Lots of hiking. A nice day spent strolling around the Highlands, if you think you need a little upscale civilization; Nice shops, etc. We are the proud owners of Lot 12 and will soon build our own little piece of paradise here. One suggestion – a table & chairs for eating on the deck, or at least a picnic table by the grill would be great.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION- WE ADDED A PICNIC TABLE BY THE GRILL

July 20-29th, 2003
Our third year in this peaceful place. This was most relaxing vacation we had in a long while. Cabin is wonderful and weather was great. We went rafting on the Nantahala River, mining for stones and everyday walks in the woods. Blackberries were great to pick. We are coming again next year!
Grosse Ile, MI

July 5- 12, 2003
A beautiful log cabin with rustic charm in a fabulous location but with all the modern conveniences to make it comfortable! Thank you! A week of T-storms and bright intervals – but the rain made the waterfalls and rapids even more outstanding. It may be misty up here in the log cabin, but descend to the surrounding areas to find the sun. Places visited- Biltmore Estate – Fabulous- a must! Jack Rabbit – lake swimming; Great Smoky Mountain Railroad – go club class and do it in style! Parkway – dramatic scenery with heart stopping bends and curves to test the nerves; Dollywood- tasteful and fun. We hope you have as much fun as we have – have a great holiday!
Gloucestershire, England

June 28- July 5, 2003
Your cabin is beautiful, fully stocked with all of our needs. (Better than home!) We really enjoyed the views from the porch and got lots of R&R (3 days of rain in a row). Nice hiking and views in Standing Indian Area, we really recommend Pinkens Nose Trail off of 83. We all had a wonderful time and really hate to leave. Only suggestion might be some sort of cover for the grill (not too good in the rain) Other than that, you have a beautiful property & we enjoyed our stay. PS – the fire flies were great Independence Day natural Fireworks show!
Inidalantic, FL

June 7-15, 2003
Enjoyed the cabin very much – Beautiful views. We loved waking up and looking out over the loft at the mountains. Hope to be back soon.
Clearwater, FL

May 22-26, 2003
Had a great time, mostly sitting on the deck reading and looking at the spectacular view. The hot tub is terrific! A woodpecker came by around the same time every afternoon (never saw him, but heard him drilling), and the last morning a whippoorwill sounded like it was right outside. Just the decompression we needed. A tip for future guests: skip the two Ingles in town and go to Bi-Lo. The Winn-Dixie might by OK – we didn’t try it.
Columbia, SC

08/24/02
Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with the two of us. This week gave us the opportunity to spend some quality time with one another which is exactly what we were in search of. In the morning we awoke to the sun shining in through the windows into the loft and it was at that point our day began. May we suggest one of more of the following: coffee on the deck, an early morning walk followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub, a canoe trip down the Little Tennessee River or perhaps a leisurely drive over to Highlands or Cashiers. The drive there is full of beautiful mountain views and there are some easily accessible trails which lead to some amazing waterfalls, so take a camera. Highlands is a lovely town with many specialty shops and galleries, but at the end of a long day, it was always nice to return to our "Hidden Vacation" home here in Franklin. We chose to stay in and cook most nights where the only voices you hear are your own and the nightly serenade by the crickets comes and goes like clockwork. This is a vacation that allows you to rest, re-group and remind yourself of those things and perhaps someone which you consider most important. Thank you to our hosts, Mike and Christina for your efforts to make our week here most memorable and for inviting us into your home for dinner.
Salisbury, NC

Everything everyone else said and more. We are jealous that anyone else will be staying here after our family. Very, Very comfortable and charming. Great family times and memories have been made here. Thank you again for your hospitality and my son Dion will never forget his ride in the front seat of the Hummer!! I could go on and on, but will suffice and say wonderful & Thank You!! - Lisa

North Carolina and it's citizens are a most refreshing change from Chicago. Bryson City is a modern day Mayberry. Catch the locomotive for a most enjoyable journey. Mining is a MUST. Found several good size gems, in particular a hefty sapphire. Saturday night - 'Pickin in the Square' was most enjoyable. This is in Franklin.

Great crafts and antiques in various locations. Wild turkeys, woodchucks (didn't see any deer) and we found a weeklong mascot...a yellow trimmed box turtle we named "Stumpy" due to the absence of one back foot. He loved tomato's (or as you folks call them "maters"). Get yourself a good walking stick at the booth run by 'The Mayor of Pumpkinville' (no kidding) at the flea market on the right hand side of the road going to Highlands. Which while kinda artsy-fartsy isn't without it's charm and the waterfalls and views are worth the short jaunt.

Our hosts Mike and Christina are A #1. Mike's Hummer was an experience. Watch out for Christina's charm. She could sell snow to an Eskimo. Two finer folks would be hard to come by.

Hope your stay here was as pleasant as ours was. One suggestion if I may - a laundry basket. I have to agree with Dolly Parton's fondness for the Smokies and its people.

The Staab Family returned for a second 10 day stay in this wonderful log house. We loved every minute of our stay. The place and the surroundings are totally awesome! Thanks for a wonderful dinner and a visit to your place! - Maria

10 days in this cabin...who could ask for more? We had a 'superific' time! The view, the hikes, the dinner! This was Melissa's first time, and I hope to bring her back next year for even more fun! Going kayaking on the Nantahala, mining, and spending a whole day in Gatlinburg were only some of the adventurous things that occurred. Hope to come back to see the view again. - Pam 2004

OK, I'd have to say, my favorite part was sleeping in the loft. Yeah, that was fun baby! I LOVE the view, weather, company and our neighbors. I hope I'll get to come back sometime. - Melissa 2004

The cabin was an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend. We are from Atlanta so the solitude was much appreciated. It is as if one takes a step back in time, the people are friendly and accommodating.

The view from the cabin is amazing. The cabin itself is so cozy and clean.

First of all, this place is beautiful. Though Brian and I found it slightly unaccomodating for those with disabilities, we were struck by the surroundings serenity.

The hot tub was especially soothing and it was a GREAT place for us to continue our therapy while on vacation.

Spending time here on our own special "hidden vacation" gave us the opportunity to reflect on not only our deep affection for one another, but on the beautiful earth with which we are blessed.

It is our prayer and great desire that everyone who spends time on this holy ground has an experience as magical as ours.

Came here for our Anniversary. Some wasps, but they were but a small smudge on an otherwise PERFECT weekend getaway. Fantastic weather, awesome view (particularly the stars at night), comfy furnishings, had a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

- I wonder if anyone will ever write a negative comment. THIS IS HEAVEN!!

Second visit to this part of the NC Mountains. We love just about everything, house, view, peacefulness, etc. The 24th was quite a night. A fierce storm came thru and we were without power for 12 hours, but Praise the Lord we remained safe and sound.

We really enjoyed the cabin and the beautiful mountains. The Smokies and the Blue Ridge views are incredible! The leaves were at their peak and couldn't have been more beautiful!

Such a beautiful place to get away from it all! It is hard to leave! We enjoyed long walks, amazed by the scenery. We even braved the 5 1/2 mile trail up to the top of Mt. Le Conte, (the 5 1/2 mile hike back down seemed like 10 miles), even still we would highly recommend it but plan on making a day of it. The hot tub does wonders for sore muscles! The house is beautiful and we would love to come back!

What a great place to relax and enjoy family!

We are very impressed with the cabins comfort & scenery. We have enjoyed the activities in the surrounding areas, canoeing the Little Tennessee River (twice), horseback riding at Chunky Gal Stables, The Highlands (Dry Falls & Bridal Veil Falls), the Biltmore Estate.

We will definitely be returning to Hidden Vacation next year.

Our 2nd trip to this very special place - we were here the same time last year and LOVED it so much we have purchased a lot here at Hidden Acres. Will build our own cabin soon!! Sept 11, 2001 - we were enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the mountains; just returning from a long walk to the top of the mountain, when we turned on the TV to the horror of seeing the planes crash at the World Trade Towers and then the Pentagon. We were shocked and horrified at this terrible tragedy and the remainder of our vacation was clouded with sadness. But we are grateful when compared with all those suffering and lost. Our hearts go out to all of them...

WOW!! What a cabin! Quiet and comfortable. The hot tub was a favorite! We were able to witness a breat-taking sunset. The grill was fun too! If you like meat, the "Macon Meat Market" will get you the cut you want. We really had a great day thanks to the "Old Town Canoe". They can send you on a 3 hour float. The highlight of our trip was the Biltmore Estate. What a splendid place! Overall, we had a wonderful time on our honeymoon and would love to return again!

This place is gorgeous! Truly peaceful! Mining is fantastic. Mason Mountain Gem Mine just down the road toward Franklin is the best. Dig all day for $15. Found a 7.5 ct. sapphire!!! Rerh's Gems is least expensive for cutting, a little further down road toward town.

Take in Dillsboro. Spend a day! Take the train ride there, scenery is spectacular. We WILL be back again!

This cabin is great! Clean, laid out well, fantastic. Everything works properly too. Rafting rivers, Biltmore in Asheville, scenery...nothing is too far to get to and back in a day. Had a great time.

The house is wonderful. We had a great time visiting the area. The mountains are beautiful and it was fun to explore with my sisters and their husbands. We visited the Biltmore Estate, Cligman's Dome, and Dillsboro. We went white water rafting, trout fishing and rode Smokey Mountain Railroad. The view is THE BEST!!

Our vacation was wonderful despite losing power for 6 hours on the first day. We had fun rafting the Nantahala, horseback riding and shopping. The view was outstanding and we hope to come back again someday.

P.S. The hot tub and satellite was fun!
